3 weeks out already

by: V Delcampo - July 4th, 2008
78This week my weight really started dipping down. This morning on an empty stomach I weighed 168. My weight class caps off at 165 so I know making weight won't be a problem. now I just have to get super shredded. My physque has really made some big changes this week. I am starting to get that ripped and dry look through out my upper body and my legs are starting to show nice seperation.
This week I upped my cardio from 40 to 45 minutes every morning on an empty stomach. My training has been intense. I trained quads on monday and my legs are still sore. I plan on training quads on sunday as well.
This season I really tried to focus on my weaker body parts. I have been training them more frequently then my stronger body parts in an attempt to improve the overall look of my physque. I also have been trying to focus on really feeling the muscle contractions and geting the most out of every rep.
Today is the 4th of july and for the first time in my life I had places to go. I was invited to four parties all with fireworks one with a pig roast. I really wish I could go but I am not going to any of them. I put too many weeks of hard work into this training. I can't let that go to waiste just because its a holiday weekend their will be other parties. I really wish I could go to the pig roast though.
After the contest my wife and I will be expecting are first child. We know its a boy and we are very excited. I have planned a 3d ultra sound for her and I when I get back from vegas. Immediatly after the contest my focus will have to shift to her and the baby for a bit. Until then I have my eyes set on the big event in just three weeks. I am hoping for a big win so I can rest on that while learning how to be a daddy. Until next years nationals.
