14 weeks out from nationals

by: Brad Davis - August 18th, 2008
73Well another week down and sitting right around 238 first thing in the morning. George made a small change to the diet, and slightly increased cardio. My strenght is still good at the moment however i did have some bad joint aches this week. My right elbow is bothering me and some some common knee aches but nothing that is slowing me down. My calves have been extremely sore from working them twice a week and doing cardio at an incline on the treadmill. My abs are getting a lil deeper and im starting to tighten up in my chest and shoulder area's (first place I usually lean out), Im feeling good about how things are going right now but at the same time i also realize i have a long journey and a lot of hard work ahead of me. I feel so much better about my prep this year having George Farah in my corner, I am ready to put in the work and let the cards fall where they may in November.

That's great Brad... sounds like you're right on track. I am looking forward to Nationals. Not just because it's in my city, but because I'm excited to meet and cheer on my ON/ABB teammates!

Happy training!

I know what you mean Brad about the calves aching, that's the annoying part of starting the diet is getting the little aches and pains out of the way.

Keep us posted Brad :)
