1 and a Half Wks Out Jr USA

by: Joe Lyons - May 7th, 2008
81Mid Week check in. 1.5 weeks out.

Monday night's concert was absolutely off the chain amazing. Five Finger Death Punch was crazy. They have great energy, play to the crowd, and seemed to have an endless amount of anger and intensity. They put on a great show and made it look like Disturbed was going to have a hard time topping FFDP's performance. One guy in the crowd actually gave the lead singer his prosthetic leg and was running around the stage swinging it. It was crazy. LOL

Disturbed...what needs to be said. A 14 song set with the entire building rocking. We were on the second floor and I thought at points the place was going down. Very entertaining show with a great production set. It was worth every dime.

Where does this play in my training...I'm beat tired. LOL The show was great and I'd do it again, but getting home at 1:30am and being on the treadmill at 6:30 was a little rough. I still feel like I have a hang over from the show.

Legs went great. I still squatted 405X9 which I wasn't close to that 2 weeks out last year. I was lifting with 315 at this point last year. I'm still doing 2 hours of cardio and my legs feel like cement blocks while doing cardio.

Shoulders last night went well too. I'm still pressing off-season weights and the intensity was still there. By the end of the workout I could barely bring my water bottle up to my mouth.

Today is off aside from 2 hours of cardio and some posing. I'll check in again this weekend on the progress. Current weight this morning 204lbs

And I can't wait for Disturbed's new album coming out soon! I saw them when I was in Kuwait, and yes, their energy is unlike no other...
